Why Substance and Style?
We named ourselves Substance and Style for a couple of reasons. First, we feel that substance must inform style and form must follow function. It isn’t enough to design things that look cool. There has to be a reason for every design decision. That’s also true (even more true, arguably) for marketing. Because we are all swamped with content all day every day, many companies and organizations try to flood all their channels with anything they can produce. We believe it’s far more effective to be strategic and thoughtful about what we’re producing. We are thinking about audience, user experience, and end goals with every decision we make. We love things that look awesome, but we especially love things that work, make sense, and achieve goals. Always have substance along with your style.
Additionally, it’s very important for us to try to make the world a better place. To that end, we support nonprofits as much as possible (particularly those that create assistive technology, promote equity and justice, provide human services, support the arts, and/or work to preserve the environment or enhance appreciation of the natural world). We offer a 10% discount to all nonprofit organizations on any services.
